We Need God (not the other way around)

Let's get it straight.

We evangelise because we need God, not because God needs us.

God doesn't need salesmen. We're not selling anything. We don't get a commission for every convert. And evangelism isn't the way to becoming 'Star Employee of the Year'.

Evangelism is simply about sharing good news ... and we do it because it's a wonderful thing to share good news. It blesses both the giver and the receiver.

If we want to evangelise, we need to know what the good news is, personally. The rest will follow naturally.

And that's evangelism!

'Evangelism' is Not a Dirty Word

Those who think so have undoubtedly experienced the ‘bad sort’ of evangelism.

The bad sort of evangelism involves people trying to change other people. That is not evangelism. That's an attempt at control. And God is LOVE, and LOVE can only freely operate when control is given over. Love requires surrender.

So what is the 'good sort' of evangelism? Stay tuned in to find out ...!
